1976 to present - Established CHIECHI & ASSOCIATES - A public affairs firm which consults on the various aspects of the governmental process and political campaigns.

1990 to present - Established DATA RESOURCES, INC. - Founded the company to develop and implement PC based programs to customize and enhance customer mailing files. Computerization of the Washington State Voter’s Registration file (2.5 million records) to be used by the Washington State Legislature and political campaigns for contacting their constituents.

1990 Established STRATEGIC CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT, INC. - A company designed to provide governmental affairs seminars for CEO’s, middle and upper management.

1986 to 1990 CHIEF OF STAFF, REPUBLICAN CAUCUS, WASHINGTON STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - Advised leadership on matters of legislation and political strategy. Assisted members in the development of legislation for introduction. Coordinated with the Republican Senate leadership and staff on timing and flow of particularly sensitive pieces of legislation. Supervised 70 to 80 caucus employees.

1982 to 1986 FEDERAL REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION - Presidential appointee to Region 10 which consisted of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. Directed the management of over 1,000 employees, along with programs totaling more than $240 million annually.

1980 to 1982 CHIEF CLERK, WASHINGTON STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - Reported directly to the Speaker of the House. Advised the Speaker and Caucus on proposed legislation; managed the flow of legislation introduced and brought to the floor of the House; coordinated and passed legislation with the State Senate and Governor’s Office; was responsible for the day to day operation of the State House and the supervision of over 400 employees.

1979 to 1980 CO-CHIEF CLERK, WASHINGTON STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - During a historical 49/49 member split, worked in conjunction with Democratic Co-Chief Clerk managing operations of the House of Representatives. Advise the Republican Speaker of the House on proposed legislation.

1978 POLITICAL CONSULTANT, REPUBLICAN CAUCUS, WASHINGTON STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - Responsible for bringing the first tie to the House of Representatives. In 1978, Republicans came from the minority of 36 members to a tie with 49 Democrats.

1977 JACK CUNNINGHAM FOR CONGRESS - Managed the successful Congressional campaign and acted as advisor to the Congressman on pending legislation before Congress.

1974 to 1976 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, DEMOCRATIC SPEAKER, WASHINGTON STATE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES - Responsible for legislative research that the Speaker felt was essential. Coordinated passed legislation with the Senate and Governor’s Office.

1971 to 1974 EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE KING COUNTY ASSESSOR - Responsible for appraisal of all commercial and residential properties. Coordinated all assessor functions with the King County Council and Planning Commission.

Further background: Various positions in 22 years of employment with the BOEING COMPANY - i.e. Public Affairs, Instructed a Public Affairs course for two years for employees, Property Tax Administrator, Assistant to the Director of Finance, Budget Analyst and Accountant.

EDUCATION

Seattle University Bachelor of Finance Degree - 1950 - Concentrated in accounting. Special courses in budgeting and marketing forecasting.

MILITARY

United States Navy April 10, 1944 to May 16, 1946 aboard the USS McKee DD 575 and USS Plunkett DD 431; award Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign. Medal with One Star and the World War II Victory Medal.

PERSONAL

Born in Seattle, Washington, July 22, 1925. Wife Dolores, nine grown children, twenty four grandchildren, one great grandson.
